Film Screening and Panel Discussion: ‘Fly Like a Girl’

Celebrate Women’s History Month and reach for the skies with trailblazing pilots, astronauts, and future soarers. The screening of Fly Like a Girl (84 min.) will be followed by a panel discussion with Women in Aviation International (WAI) Greater Los Angeles Chapter Treasurer Ashley Hawley, WAI Co-Events Chair Liraz Bershadsky, and Aerospace Engineer and Chief Product Officer at Airspace Experience Technologies Dr. Anita Sengupta.
Honoring Julia Morgan, CA’s first licensed female architect

The Santa Monica Conservancy co-hosts the annual Julia Morgan Legacy Day for Women’s History Month at the Annenberg Community Beach House. Hear about the incredible legacy of two remarkable women – Morgan and benefactor Phoebe Hearst, and the legacy they forged.

SBDC Panel Discussion: Women Entrepreneurs

Santa Monica Public Library kicks off Women’s History Month with a panel discussion of Women Entrepreneurs. Panelists include City of Santa Monica Mayor Lana Negrete (Santa Monica Music Center), Laurel Rosen (One from the Heart), Amanda Rubin (AJA Vineyards Tasting Room), Minal Mondkar (Aura Seating), Yolanda Regalado (Sirens Java & Tea), and moderator Starleen Van Buren (El Camino College Small Business Development Center). The panel concludes with a small business resource spotlight presented by Cecilia Tovar (Santa Monica Public Library) and Jennifer Taylor (City of Santa Monica Economic Development).
