Demitasse is run by a handful of coffee geeks from all walks of life who enjoy tinkering with espresso, coffee and tea. Tinkering leads to signature drinks – every barista has one and you can only order it when he or she is on bar. Being a group of coffee geeks turned pro, they love interacting with other home baristas and coffee enthusiasts. To that end, they constantly host events from our coffee cuppings to home brewing and roasting classes. Their credo is that they are all students of coffee. They are also big on local and spend a lot of time trying to find the best LA has to offer, from pastries to our chocolate truffles and even to the ice cream we use in our affogatos.
Oh, and we roast our own coffee, too. One small batch a time.
