Santa Monica is a caring community and it’s understandable that many residents are looking for ways to support their neighbors and the community on the road to recovery. Here are 5 ways you can show you care:

Donate New Socks During Socktober

Did you know that socks are the most requested item in homeless shelters and rehabilitation facilities?

Now through October 31st, Santa MoniCARES is collecting new socks to donate to West Coast Cares who hand them out to homeless women, children and men on the street. Join us in helping our most vulnerable by dropping off new socks at Santa Monica’s Visitor Information Centers during normal business hours.

People need each other more than ever in 2020, it’s time to move forward and care for one another – let’s start at our feet then work our way up to hearts and minds!

Donate to the We are Santa Monica Innovation Fund: The City of Santa Monica has also created a fund to provide local relief in response to COVID-19.
