John Williams & Picture at an Exhibition

Join Orchestra Santa Monica’s ten-year anniversary season with a variety of innovative programs and unique collaborations. The orchestra will perform symphonic blockbusters such as Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition as well as the world premiere performance of Derrick Skye’s We Gather Concert Suite. Don’t miss seeing world class guest artists such as Thomas Hooten and Jubilant Sykes perform on stage! Tickets are required but may be reserved at no cost as part of the Orchestra’s ten-year anniversary.

This season-opening concert will feature music from the movie “Lincoln”, composed by John Williams and the Arutiunian Trumpet Concerto, featuring LA Philharmonic principal trumpet, Thomas Hooten. The orchestra will perform Ravel’s arrangement of Mussorgsky’s masterpiece of imagination, the “Pictures at an Exhibition” suite.
