The Pacific Wheel goes green for St. Patrick’s Day

The Pacific Wheel will be lit green on Wednesday, March 17 in recognition of St Patrick’s Day.
Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will join other landmarks across the globe in going green on March 17th in celebration of St Patrick’s Day. The special light program on the wheel will include colorful animations and festive shamrocks.
Other sites taking part include The Sydney Opera House, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Niagara Falls, Victoria Falls, the ‘Welcome’ sign in Las Vegas, the London Eye, the Sky Tower in Auckland, the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, the Cibeles Fountain in Madrid, BC Place in Vancouver, and the tallest building in South America, the Torre Costanera in Chile amongst many others.
This special light program will run dusk (around 6 – 7 PM) to midnight on Wednesday, March 17. The best views of the Pacific Wheel light programs are from the Santa Monica Pier boardwalk just west of the Amusement Park or on the beaches south of the Pier.
