Introducing Santa Monica Restaurant Week, formerly Eat Well Week, taking place January 9-15, 2017!

To celebrate California Restaurant Month and highlight Santa Monica as an award-winning, health-conscious culinary destination, participating Santa Monica restaurants will each craft healthy, custom dishes centered around this year’s special restaurant week ingredient – the radish.

Throughout the week, we invite you to explore the delicious dishes throughout town and share your Santa Monica Restaurant Week photos on social media using #SMRestaurantWeek for a chance to win prizes!

Learn about the radish

If you think radishes can only be served sliced in a salad, think again! With names like Cherry Belle, Easter Egg, Watermelon, French Breakfast and Black Spanish and the fact that they’re found in colors ranging from red, pink and purple to white and black, the humble radish is more than meets the eye. Radishes are very beneficial for the liver and stomach and even act as a powerful detoxifier, which can come in handy during those first few weeks in January when many people are recovering from a season full of indulging.
