Annual hotel program offers Santa Monica residents deeply discounted hotel rates through January

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (November 13, 2017) – Santa Monica residents who wish they had an extra bedroom for visiting friends and family during the holidays are in luck – Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) announced today that its annual Extra Bedroom Program is returning this holiday season. Today through January 19, 2018 Santa Monica residents can receive deeply discounted hotel rates.

Each year during Extra Bedroom Program, the Santa Monica hotel community comes together to serve their neighbors by offering Santa Monica residents access to hotel rates far below those available to visitors throughout the year. During this time, SMTT invites Santa Monica locals to host their visitors without sacrificing their personal space or holiday budget at 18 properties across Santa Monica’s celebrated hotel collection.

“It is with great delight we announce the Extra Bedroom Program returns in time for the holiday season,” said Misti Kerns, SMTT president/CEO. “These generous offers from our hospitality partners allow Santa Monica residents to keep their visitors close-by during this special season and have a taste of our destination’s world-class hotel collection.”

Participating hotels include:

• Best Western Plus Gateway Hotel Santa Monica
• Cal Mar Hotel Suites
• Days Inn Santa Monica
• DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Santa Monica
• Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows
• Hotel Carmel
• Hotel Casa del Mar
• Huntley Santa Monica Beach
• Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica
• Oceana Beach Club Hotel
• Ocean View Hotel
• Shore Hotel

Residents can secure these discounted hotel rates simply by mentioning the program while making the reservation over the phone, then showing proof of Santa Monica residency (California ID or drivers’ license) at check-in.
