Santa Monica residents offered deeply discounted hotel rates through January with annual hotel program

SANTA MONICA, Calif. November 16, 2016 – Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) announced today that its annual Extra Bedroom Program is available this holiday season today through January 20, 2017. Each year during Extra Bedroom Program, the Santa Monica hotel community comes together to serve their neighbors by offering Santa Monica residents access to hotel rates far below those available to visitors throughout the year. During this time, SMTT invites Santa Monica locals to host their visitors without sacrificing their personal space or holiday budget at 15 properties across Santa Monica’s celebrated hotel collection.

“Our hospitality partners are delighted to extend this opportunity to Santa Monica locals during the holiday season,” said Misti Kerns, SMTT president/CEO. “We hope that our friends and neighbors will take advantage of these fantastic offers to keep their visitors close-by during the holiday season and to experience the incredible hotel collection that has contributed to Santa Monica becoming the world-class destination that it is today.”

Participating hotels include:

  • Best Western Plus Gateway Hotel Santa Monica
  • Cal Mar Hotel Suites
  • Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows
  • Hotel Casa del Mar
  • Hotel Shangri-La at the Ocean
  • Le Meridien Delfina Santa Monica

  • Oceana Beach Club Hotel
  • Ocean View Hotel
  • Santa Monica Pico Travelodge
  • Shore Hotel

Residents can secure these discounted hotel rates simply by mentioning the program while making the reservation over the phone, then showing proof of Santa Monica residency (California ID or drivers’ license) at check-in.
