Santa Monica’s Free Visitor Guide Expands to Magazine Format

Posted November 9, 2023

Nearly 100 Pages Spotlight Chic Neighborhoods, Dazzling Restaurants,
New Hotspots, Annual Happenings & Wellness Activities for Every Type of Traveler

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2023) – Considering a Santa Monica visit? Travelers will find a wealth of practical, up-to-date information and a curated collection of insider tips on how to get the most out of Southern California’s chic beach city in the just-published Official Santa Monica Visitor Guide and Map.

Stylishly redesigned in a user-friendly magazine format, the nearly 100-page guide highlights each of the city’s eight eclectic neighborhoods while spotlighting Santa Monica as a global trendsetter in areas such as sustainability, wellness and community.

The popular free publication is published by Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT), the nonprofit agency charged with promoting the Los Angeles County city to a worldwide audience of leisure and business travelers.

“With this new edition, we started with the need-to-know facts every visitor wants,” said Misti Kerns, SMTT’s president and CEO. “But because we know Santa Monica visitors want the kind of word-of-mouth advice and wisdom that only locals have, we challenged ourselves to create a guide that goes beyond the expected and highlights our biggest icons as well as most-loved local gems.”

Designed like a luxury lifestyle magazine, the Official Santa Monica Visitor Guide curates the best of where to stay, play, dine, eat, rest and relax across Santa Monica’s 8.3 square miles as chronicled by local culture writers and seen through the lens of artful photographers.

Contents include:

  • An overview of Santa Monica’s 40 hotels, which offer unique, one of a kind to corporate accommodations to suit every personality
  • A profile of the city’s dazzling dining scene and its Michelin-starred talent
  • Wellness activities for all activity levels
  • Don’t-miss lists of arts and culture venues and annual festivals

The newest edition of the free Official Santa Monica Visitor Guide will be distributed internationally, throughout Southern California and locally to Santa Monica businesses. The guide and map are also available to order online in a searchable, downloadable digital format at santamonica.com/guide or via mail.
