VR Artist Dialogue

Join us on Zoom for our Diversity & Cultural Dialogue program with Sheinina and special guest Shana Nys Dambrot to speak about Sheinina L. Raj’s exhibition “Intercultural” and the influences behind her project.
Shana Nys Dambrot is an art critic, curator and author based in Downtown Los Angeles. She sits on the Boards of Art Share-LA and the Venice Institute of Contemporary Art. She is also part of the Advisory Council of Building Bridges Art Exchange. Dambros and Raj will celebrate Women’s History Month by discussing feminism and culture in the 21st century.
Through photography, Raj brings attention to the true meaning of “Intercultural”. Taking traditional female garments of a multitude of ethnicities around the world, Raj highlights the differences and ultimate similarities between people and cultures. At a time when the world yearns for common ground, Sheinina’s photographic series speaks in a visual language universally understood. This dialogue series will allow us to dig deeper into the meaning and importance of being intercultural.
