BFF Binge Free Festival of TheatreL: Timeline 27

Timeline: 27 is a participatory storytelling show about change, growth, and destiny. Storyteller, Johanna Middleton, will spotlight story-worthy moments in her life that have informed the trajectory of her current life path, while encouraging her audience to reflect on the pivotal points of change in their own lives. Stories will include reflections on plumbing emergencies at work, boycotting Yelp, and the coming apocalypse. PG-13.
Johanna Middleton is a LA-based art maker and educator with a passion for telling black/woman stories and creating spaces for women and people of color to share their own stories. As an actress and performer, she has appeared on stage, on the web, and in film/television. Favorite credits include Netflix’s Dear White People and a web series she co-wrote and co-created, Bwitches – an intersectional feminist comedy about two women who happen to be witches. Johanna has performed her original pieces as a storyteller at venues around Los Angles, including iO West, Upright Citizens Brigade, The Last Bookstore and The Echo. This is her first full-length solo show.

Timeline 27 is FREE for all (ages 13 to adult please) as part of the Second Annual Santa Monica Playhouse BFF Binge Festival of Theatre. The BFF (October 16 – 29) offers over 4 dozen plays, workshops and an overflowing toy-box of special family-oriented events, to delight your senses and tickle your funny bone – and every single one of them is FREE, thanks to generous grants from the City of Santa Monica and the Santa Monica Arts Commission, Pearl and Bill Bordy, the Cotkin Family and Playhouse PALS.
