Our live virtual group tour leads you through the last intact shotgun house in Santa Monica. Learn about Santa Monica history and preservation as you look peek behind walls and look beneath the floor to reveal original materials.
Built in 1897, our little shotgun house is remarkable for its sheer tenacity, surviving the passage of time. Facing demolition in 2002, the Santa Monica Conservancy partnered with community members and the City of Santa Monica to restore and relocate it. Today, it serves as our Preservation Resource Center and has welcomed thousands of visitors since opening in 2016.
