Ruben Rojas and WRDSMTH: Carpe Every Single Diem
Bruce Lurie Gallery is proud to present “Carpe Every Single Diem”, a new exhibition from acclaimed Los Angeles-based artists Ruben Rojas and WRDSMTH. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, August 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bruce Lurie Gallery in Santa Monica.
Bringing together two of the city’s prominent street artists, “Carpe Every Single Diem” combines Rojas’ “Love” imagery and vivid colors with WRDSMTH’s typewritten wisdom. This artistic union presents an immersive body of work that inspires connection and conversation.
“This show is about merging hearts and words,” said Ruben Rojas. “It’s a reminder that love isn’t passive—it’s something we choose, say and show.”
“Words are my medium,” said WRDSMTH. “Now, quite unexpectedly, I am a rising street artist. Bottom line, I love to write. And I do, every day.”
Rojas left the corporate world in 2013 to build a life centered on one powerful feeling: love. Since then, he has transformed blank walls into uplifting murals, inviting communities to lead with love. WRDSMTH is a Los Angeles-based street artist known for his signature typewriter stencil and poetic phrases. He aims to inspire passersby with daily doses of motivation and reflection painted and pasted onto walls around the world.
This exhibition marks the first time the two artists have shown together in a gallery setting. “Carpe Every Single Diem” will feature limited-edition prints, immersive installations, a selection of collaborative works and curated individual pieces by each artist, offering viewers a rare opportunity to engage with the art more intimately.
