“Patrizia Mussa: Palazzo Dreams” at Galerie XII
The exhibition brings together photographs of Italy’s earliest permanent theaters—from Vicenza, Sabbioneta, and Parma, which mark the transition from court theaters to purpose-built venues, to iconic institutions such as Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Argentina in Rome, Teatro della Pergola in Florence, and Teatro Massimo in Palermo. Other images highlight the inherently theatrical nature of certain Italian architectural landmarks, including the Royal Palace of Venaria, the Palace of Stupinigi, the Royal Palace of Caserta, and Palazzo Grimani in Venice.
