Merz Trio in Concert

Santa Monica Symphony presents the award-winning Merz Trio in a FREE digital concert of works by Haydn, Faure, and Schumann.
Santa Monica Symphony is pleased to present the Merz Trio in a live streamed performance of iconic works from the classical piano trio repertoire. The Merz Trio won gold in the prestigious 2019 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, and were the winners of the 2019 Concert Artists Guild Competition. The Trio is currently the ensemble in residence in the New England Conservatory’s Professional Piano Trio Program.
These dynamic rising stars in the world of chamber music will perform the following works in a pre-recorded digital concert live stream:

• Haydn: Piano Trio No. 45 in E-flat Major, Hob. XV/29
• Fauré: Piano Trio in D Minor, Op. 120
• Schumann: Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor, Op. 63

The concert will be followed by a Zoom Q&A with the performing artists, moderated by classical KUSC’s Rich Capparela. The link to this FREE concert and post-concert Q&A will be sent out on the day of the performance.
