Based on Kate DiCamillo’s book, “Mercy Watson To The Rescue” is a rollicking romp of a play about a beloved young pig named Mercy who lives with Mr. and Mrs. Watson in a comfortable family home. Mercy finds adventure and excitement at every turn in her simple suburban neighborhood when all she wants is some hot buttered toast!
The Morgan-Wixson Theatre’s Youth Education Series (Y.E.S.) brings children’s books and stories to life onstage, introducing kids to the wonder of live theater and encouraging literacy. Read the book, see the show!
Recommended for preschool ages and up. Parking is available on the street or at the Venice Family Clinic just a couple blocks west of the theater at 2509 Pico. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the theater, making it a perfect event for a family outing, birthday party, date with grandparents, or just summer fun.
Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m., July 13-28. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for children under 12.
