Make Jazz: Devin Daniels

Devin Daniels, 2024 Herb Alpert Foundation Make Jazz Artist in Residence, will deliver a culminating performance at The World Stage – a historic jazz performance space located in Leimert Park.

Devin Daniels is an accomplished Alto Saxophonist from Los Angeles, California. Daniels recently completed Focusyear in Basel, Switzerland, an internationally assembled ensemble of nine students who are coached in a regular cycle by acknowledged masters of the international Jazz scene. He is currently enrolled at UCLA for the Herbie Hancock Institute, through which he received his residency in coordination with 18th Street Arts Center. Throughout his career, Daniel has had the pleasure of playing alongside artists such as Billy Childs, Donald Vega, Donald Dean, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Ralph Moore, and Miguel Artwood Ferguson.
