Listening session to support Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders as we continue to see increasing acts of hate against the AAPI community.
The City of Santa Monica is hosting a virtual community listening session on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 6 - 8 p.m. to provide Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community members an opportunity to speak about their feelings, experiences, and the support they need now and going forward as we continue to see increasing acts of hate and racism against the AAPI community across the country. It will also be an opportunity for AAPI allies to voice their support.
The session will be facilitated by Dr. Marissa Pei, an organizational psychologist, TV commentator and media personality known as the “Asian Oprah.” View Dr. Marissa’s bio below.
All community members are invited to attend. The session will not be recorded. Tickets are free but reservations are required.
Click here to register, RSVPs will receive the event link a few days before the event.
