Lifting As We Climb: Honoring Black Excellence and Community-building at the Philomathean Club
The celebratory event will center around the unveiling of a plaque recognizing Philomathean Hall as a Santa Monica Historic landmark. With this unveiling, we’ll celebrate the history of the Philomathean Club and their contributions to the Black community in Santa Monica. Santa Monica Conservancy will partner with the Quinn Research Center to speak on its history. And members of the Philomathean Club will discuss their current projects.
