Happy Birthday, Santa Monica!

The moment the members of our Diversity-in-Education Conservatory (artists ages 18-80 and students ages 7-17) heard about the possibility of participation in the 150th anniversary, they started creating ideas for a project, an expansion of the project they did for the 2023 Annual Martin Luther King Jr Westside Coalition celebration. Students and Playhouse artistic staff will create a play honoring some of the great Santa Monica leaders in the arts, science, government, and more, the importance of their contributions highlighted as seen through the eyes of adults, seniors and young people, to be presented free of charge for a series of performances the week after Thanksgiving. The event will also include a post-show discussion. The event will also include artwork created by local students.

Monday – Friday shows are for local schools. Show times are 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am and 11am.
Saturday & Sunday shows are open to the public. Show times are 1pm.
