The weather is finally starting to warm up and the tent is off the patio, so there’s no better way for Esters Wine Shop & Bar to celebrate than with a whole lineup of talented chefs for the next Guest Chef Burger Night Series. Every month since September 2017, “the little kitchen that could” has welcomed a slew of celebrated, local talent to make their favorite burger for just one night. The summer iteration is the last of 2019 as the popular series takes a little break for the fall and winter holidays, but it will kick off again in Winter 2020.
Guest Chef Burger Nights begin at 6:00 p.m., until burgers sell out, so grab a seat early during 4-6 p.m. Happy Hour. All burgers come with a side and are priced at $18, with an optional beer or wine pairing. Esters is walk-in only, so reservations are not taken.
Saw Naing has been at Tallula’s since day one, rising from Sous Chef to Executive Chef at the family’s beachside, Mexican restaurant. His passion for Latin American cuisine and tropical flavors shines through in his farmers’ market-driven fare and commitment to making everything in-house, from the masa in the fresh tortillas to all the salsas and moles. His Bone Marrow Burger features Oaxacan cheese, mole aioli, little gem hearts, epazote cucumber pickles, grilled pineapple and jalapeño.
