The City of Santa Monica and Sustainable Works are proud to present: Fixing Food, which tells stories of people who are working to lower our carbon footprint with impactful new ways to gather and prepare the food we need, looking at five important areas where we can make changes—farming in the ocean and the air, finding new food sources, learning from Indigenous agriculture, and rescuing the food we already have.
The event is FREE for Santa Monica residents! Register here.
Non-Santa Monica residents can purchase tickets here.
A panel discussion will follow the film. Panelists include:
- Pyet DeSpain, award winning and global private chef
- Aly Moore, Bugible Founder and COO of Chapul Farms
- Moderator: Sarah Spitz, UC Master Gardener, Los Angeles County
Everyone who completes the after event survey will be entered into our prize drawing. Three lucky winners will each receive a Poplar countertop Smart Bin.
