Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will pay tribute to Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant on August 24—“Kobe Day”—as its 90-foot-tall Ferris wheel lights up with illuminated messages reading “LA ❤️ 24” and “LA ❤️ 8.” The dazzling display of lights will feature Lakers’ signature gold and purple, showcasing custom patterns and transitions in celebration of the basketball icon’s enduring legacy.
Hours: Sunset (about 7:30 p.m.) to Midnight.
