Celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day at FIG Restaurant

This event has expired. Please visit the Events Calendar for current listings.

FIG Restaurant in Santa Monica invites you to celebrate Beaujolais Nouveau Day on Thursday, November 19 and enjoy a fresh, fruity glass of Georges Duboeuf’s 2015 vintage paired with a flight of three cheeses from Eric’s Stash.
Beaujolais Nouveau Day is celebrated in France each year on the third Thursday in November with fireworks, music and festivals. Under French law, the wine is released at 12:01am, just weeks after the grapes have been hand-harvested. This refreshingly acidic, fruit-forward red is the result of a quick fermentation process of Gamay grapes from the Beaujolais appellation, located within Burgundy, and celebrates the end of harvest. Beaujolais Nouveau is youthful with just the right amount of acidity, making it the perfect accompaniment to these special cheeses from Eric’s Stash:

  • St. Moure de Touraine, a goat cheese from the Loire Valley in France
  • Andeerer Granit, a cow’s milk cheese from Switzerland
  • Funky Bleats, a goat/sheep’s milk cheese from California

A glass of Georges Duboeuf’s Beaujolais Nouveau is available for $13, or $30 for one glass paired with a flight of three cheeses from Eric’s Stash. Couples can enjoy one glass of wine each and a shared cheese flight for $43. Offered on Thursday, November 19 from 5:00pm – 10:00pm. For reservations, please contact 310-319-3111.
