On Tuesday November 12 at 7 p.m., the Chamber Orchestra of the Elizabeth Mandell Music Institute (EMMI) at Crossroads Schools for Arts & Sciences presents “Bring Forth Something Beautiful”, the opening concert of their 2019-20 season. The orchestra is led by world-renowned conductor and LA Phil Concertmaster Alexander Treger, who has stood on the podium of the Crossroads Chamber Orchestra since 1993.
The EMMI program at Crossroads School is an advanced-level classical music conservatory program. Graduates of this outstanding program can be found performing in symphony orchestras, opera houses, on the international concert circuit and teaching on the faculties of major conservatories around the world. Made up of both local and international students, musicians in the EMMI program are among the best and brightest young artists in the evolving world of classical music.
The EMMI Chamber Orchestra opens its season with an electrifying program including works by Francesco Geminiani, Edvard Grieg, Jean Sibelius and Karl Jenkins. The concert will be held in Roth Hall on the Crossroads campus, 1714 21st Street in Santa Monica. Admission is free and audience members of all ages are welcome.
