Former New York Giants Wide Receiver Steve Smith and his brother, Malcolm Smith of the San Francisco 49ers, are hosting a 3-on-3 touch football tournament for the community at Santa Monica College, Corsair Stadium on Sunday, June 25th, 2017.
To participate in the 3-on-3 tournament you can visit www.airitupfootball.com. Participation price varies. Individuals can sign up for $50/each or can sign up as team, ranging from $160-$400. Winning team receives $2,000 cash.
Proceeds from the game and sponsors will go to Santa Monica College and the Smith Bros P.L.A.Y. Foundation. The tournament offers the opportunity for adults to experience their community through football with past and present NFL players on hand! Must be at least 17 years old to participate in the tournament.
Smith Bros P.L.A.Y. (Practice Listen Apply Yourself) Foundation’s mission is to make a positive impact on youth through education and sports. One of the foundation’s main initiatives is to mobilize underprivileged youth through work-based learning workshops. By exposing children to different career paths and opportunities, the foundation hopes to inspire children and help them progress towards a brighter future.
Local sponsors will also be at the event showcasing their product in a Farmers Market style layout. Each sponsor will have their own booth where attendees can shop and learn more about the local stores in their community. Free admission into the event and all ages are welcome!
