AGENTS OF CHANGE, 2016, Kovno Communications, 66 min. Dirs. Frank Dawson, Abby Ginzberg. From the student-led strike at San Francisco State to the image of black students with guns occupying buildings at Cornell University, college campuses stood at the crossroads of the civil rights, black power and anti-Vietnam war movements at the end of the 1960s. This timely documentary profiles the young men and women at the forefront of the struggle for a more relevant and meaningful education, revealing the racial conditions that led to these protests and that still echo today. Panel discussion follows with co-director and SMC Dean Frank Dawson, SMC Associated Students president Terrence Ware and a representative from Black Lives Matter.
