Aero Theatre present a ‘Dead of Winter’ marathon of the following films:
RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD:
In this unofficial “sequel” to NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, gas canisters leak at a medical supply warehouse, evaporate and then inadvertently rain down on the nearby cemetery and mortuary. Much skull-splitting, brain-eating hilarity ensues … along with punked-out Linnea Quigley’s unforgettable erotic cemetery dance! With Clu Gulager and Don Calfa as Burt and Ernie, production design by William Stout, and a great soundtrack provided by The Damned, Roky Erickson, The Flesh Eaters and The Cramps.
RE-ANIMATOR:
Adapted from the H.P. Lovecraft tale of Herbert West, this mind-bending, darkly funny horror thriller was a breakout hit, establishing newcomer director Stuart Gordon as a force to be reckoned with. Impetuous researcher Jeffrey Combs develops a serum that can bring back the dead, something that his new roommate (Bruce Abbott) hadn’t exactly bargained for. Delivers on every front with laughs, shocks and genuine shivers escalating until the outrageous, gore-drenched finale. With Barbara Crampton and David Gale.
EVIL DEAD II: (30th Anniversary):
Bruce Campbell returns to the woods to battle demons (and his own possessed hand!) in a sequel that tops the original EVIL DEAD for sheer speed and inventiveness.
CEMETERY MAN:
Rupert Everett is Francesco Dellamorte, a lonely, romantic caretaker who needs to keep killing the undead that stubbornly rise from the graves in his cemetery. English dubbed version.
NIGHT OF THE CREEPS:
When a couple of pledges thaw out the corpse of a fraternity member who was infected by aliens, they unleash a zombie epidemic on campus. A loving homage to the B movies of the 1950s. MONSTER SQUAD auteur Fred Dekker directs this cult favorite, which gave Tom Atkins the role of a lifetime.
