About Team Prime Time
Team Prime Time Give Kids Purpose
Team Prime Time is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides intervention programs after school for at-risk youth from low income communities. Through its Core After School Program and the Prime Time Games inclusion sports program, Team Prime Time serves more than 4000 students per year.
The Core After School Program (ASP) combines academic support, athletics, leadership training and the arts to help students realize their full potential. The ‘Next U’ programs provide career exposure through project-based learning facilitated by local graduate students and professionals. Partners include USC Marshall School of Business, Loyola Law School, and UCLA Athletics.
The Prime Time Games is an evidence based model created by Team Prime Time that gives two at risk populations from the same school, (1) low income youth and (2) students with disabilities, the chance to compete together in the only league of its kind. The organization’s unique approach is to take those perceived as needing mentors, and instead, make them the mentors for their peers with disabilities. 97% of Peer Coaches graduate High School on time.
Meet Our Hosts: Brothers Heineman
The Heineman Brothers are Major League Baseball players who were born and raised in Pacific Palisades, California.
Throughout their lives, they have made it a priority to give back to their community. They have proudly partnered with Team Prime Time since 2014, where they have volunteered and witnessed the impact the organization has on its participants.
