Come join us on Saturday, June 11th for the 7th annual Tommy Bahama Pier Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival at the Santa Monica Pier. Every year the event draws hundreds of competitors and thousands of spectators. It is an all-day event that showcases an exciting array of races from paddleboard to dory races to a rigorous ocean swim, all featuring the top competitors from around the world.
This year the festival features a special musical headliner, surf guitar legend Dick Dale, widely credited with inventing the genre of surf music. The event is free for spectators and fun for the whole family. Besides the races, there will be beach games and races for the kids, a lifeguard and surf history pop-up museum – plus live music and hula dancers performing throughout the day. The Tommy Bahama Ice Cream Truck will be handing out free ice cream all day. There will be a 21 and over beer garden featuring Sierra Nevada and Tommy Bahama’s Rum Lounge.
Come celebrate decades of surf, paddleboard and lifeguard history.
