Metro Expo Station Parties

Celebrate the opening of the Metro Expo Line to Santa Monica. Enjoy free rides all day, special activities, and family fun. Plan on biking to the train? Opt to leave your bike safely locked at a free bike valet or conveniently located bike rack to allow room on trains for everyone to explore.
There will be live music, food trucks and other family friendly entertainment at the following Metro Stations in Santa Monica: Expo/Bundy Station, 26th St./Bergamot Station, 17th St./Santa Monica College Station, and the Downtown Santa Monica Station. Join LA’s transportation transformation, Go Metro to school, work, and play on the new Expo Line to Santa Monica. Free rides open to the public on the entire Metro Expo Line on Friday, May 20 starting at 12pm, and on Saturday, May 21.
Metro’s Expo Line to Santa Monica opens May 20, with seven new stations and 6.6 miles of rail — there is so much more to explore. The $1.5 billion light rail to the Pacific Ocean extends from the existing Expo Line Culver City station to Downtown Santa Monica linking Westside neighborhoods and expanding the Metro Rail system to over 100 miles of rail. Connecting Downtown LA to Downtown Santa Monica in just 46 minutes, the Expo Line is a sustainable, cost effective alternative to grid-lock on the I-10 freeway.
