Santa Monica Repertory Theater explores the space of ‘before and after’ the pandemic with our 3rd Annual Playreading Festival, #anothernormal: plays written and directed by women. A two-day event!
This year we are featuring three short plays about the way we treat each other. We are in a culturally juicy place in the U.S., that is exciting, terrifying and asking us to really look at what we believe, who we are , as individuals and as a society. These plays will surely spark conversation and each production includes a post-show discussion. Saturday’s programming ends with the panel WHAT IS THEATRE AND WHY IT MATTERS, NOW.
On Sunday we’ll host a storytelling workshop from 11am-12 pm and the storytelling show SHINEOnline: A Woman’s Place.
All of Saturday and Sunday’s programming is absolutely FREE and online, with a suggested donation of $25. Your donation is tax-deductible and supports our continuing work.
Register and receive access to both Saturday’s playreadings and panel discussion, AND Sunday’s workshop and storytelling show.
Is it the same-ole’ same ole, a new normal, or #anothernormal.
