SANTA MONICA’S FIFTH ANNUAL VOLLEY-WEEN FUNDRAISER RETURNS OCTOBER 28
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (October 8, 2026) – The fifth annual Volley-Ween presented by Santa MoniCARES returns on Wednesday, October 28. This fundraising event rallies support for local Santa Monica nonprofits offering human services this holiday season.
This year’s Beach BBQ Mixer features a volleyball tournament on the sand with a costume contest, inviting residents and local businesses to join solo, in pairs or as a team to hit the court or cheer for friends and colleagues. The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Perry’s Café and Beach Rentals’ 2400 Ocean Front Walk location.
“We are thrilled to see our community gather each year in support of our local nonprofits in need at Volley-Ween,” said Misti Kerns, President/CEO of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism. “We extend a friendly challenge to Santa Monica businesses and residents to join in the fun during this unique and festive event. It’s a great time seeing people in costume playing volleyball, all to help support an important cause.”
All ages and skill levels are welcome to join the tournament and costume contest for a chance to win exciting prizes including a Route 66-themed gift bag, gift cards to local restaurants, Halloween tumblers and more. Guests will be treated to food, non-alcoholic beverages and a drink ticket to enjoy while supporting the community and enjoying the beach. Registration is required to attend, with an entry fee of $35 per person with team pricing available.
