Josiah Citrin’s Michelin two-starred Mélisse now offers an intimate “backstage” dining experience, while his newest restaurant, Citrin, serves a menu of seasonally driven California cuisine. 1104 Wilshire Blvd.

Awarded a recent Michelin Bib of the Week, Cobi’s is distinguished for its wide-reaching Southeast Asian menu. Trythe Beef Rendang or Devil Curry with rice, roti and a chili-and-sambal sampler to turn up the heat. 2104 Main St.

Isla, the new seafood restaurant from chef Brian Bornemann, features a wood-fired assortment of skewers, pasture-raised birds, sustainable local fish, charcuterie and grilled vegetables. 2424 Main St.

Inspired by the markets of Paris, award-winning chef Dave Beran’s Pasjoli pays homage to classic French bistro fare using fresh, local ingredients. 2732 Main St.

Chef/owner Jeremy Fox’s Michelin-starred Rustic Canyon features an ever-changing menu of “beautiful vegetables, local seafood, house-made terrines and charcuterie, and California’s finest meats and poultry.” 1119 Wilshire Blvd.

Inspired by the charms of Tuscany, Sogno Toscano is a new luxury wine bar, espresso bar and marketplace with counter service, indoor seating and open-air dining. 1512 Montana Ave.

Executive chef David Yamaguchi’s new signature restaurant, The Surfing Fox, serves “coastal casual” cuisine with a Southern California twist at the Pierside Hotel. 120 Colorado Ave.

What’s Happening

Each year, The People’s Choice Awards honor the best in movies, television, music and pop culture, as chosen by fans. The 2024 awards will stream live on NBC, E!, and Peacock on Sunday, Feb. 18, from Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar.

On March 25, celebrities and power brokers will gather next to the Santa Monica Pier for the annual Spirit Awards, which celebrates outstanding work in independent film.
