Everyone in LA knows someone from this choir, or at least knows someone who knows someone in the Angel City Chorale. The Angel City Chorale rolls deep, with 180 singers, an accompanying youth chorale, and a full orchestra. For two nights, the Angel City Chorale, will be performing “As Seen on TV…And More!” at the Barnum Hall in Santa Monica.
Guests can expect the choir to perform songs from their America’s Got Talent appearances, which helped the Chorale compete in the semifinals. Television and film fans will be delighted to hear a collection of songs from the Game of Thrones soundtrack and familiar sounds from other iconic television theme songs. Gamers will be sure to recognize Christopher Tin’s “Baba Yetu” from Civilization IV or Final Fantasy’s “Liberi Fatali.” Now if this all wasn’t enough to provoke intrigue, the group of singers will treat the crowd to world music, gospel, contemporary pieces, and other surprises. The Barnum Hall will be using state-of-the-art staging, lighting and sound, and will provide ample parking and over 1200 plush seats.
The Angel City Chorale has performed around the world, recorded for an award-winning video game, sang with award-winning artists and composers, and even joined Mayor Garcetti to sing Happy Birthday to City of Los Angeles. While the group performs for the holidays and is booked for special events globally, this is a great opportunity to witness their talents here in Los Angeles.
