Main Street Restaurant Newly Honored at The 2026 MICHELIN Guide California Ceremony
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (June 25, 2026) – Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) is pleased to share Santa Monica restaurant SELINE has been awarded One MICHELIN Star at the 2026 MICHELIN Guide California awards ceremony in San Diego on Wednesday, June 24. SELINE becomes Santa Monica’s third MICHELIN Star restaurant alongside the acclaimed One Star Citrine and Two Star Mélisse, which both retained their impressive distinctions this year.
One MICHELIN Star honors restaurants serving dishes with distinct flavors prepared with top quality ingredients at a consistently high standard.
Santa Monica is now home to 13 restaurants recognized in the MICHELIN Guide including Bib Gourmand establishments Cobi's et Colapasta, a designation celebrating great food at a great value.

Debuted in December 2024, SELINE is an elevated concept by Chef Dave Beran focused on encouraging a relationship between diners and the kitchen by removing barriers and implementing a service style that encourages conversation. SELINE’s 14-18 course tasting menu is crafted with both familiar and unique flavors for a thoughtful culinary journey showcasing creative concepts inspired by Southern California. This is Chef Beran’s second restaurant in Santa Monica, with sister establishment Pasjoli serving both classic and modern French cuisine in an approachable, neighborhood bistro space. This is the second major award for Chef Beran this year, closely following his recent recognition as Best Chef: California at the James Beard Foundation Awards 2026.
