SANTA MONICA, Calif. (August 27, 2026) – Film Santa Monica, the official entity supporting film and media production in the City of Santa Monica, sponsored the 13th Annual Location Managers Guild International Awards, marking a commitment to strengthening the community’s status as a premier filming destination.
The awards took place on Saturday, August 22 at The Eli and Edythe BroadStage, a world-class performing arts venue in Santa Monica. The Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) is a global organization representing professional location managers, scouts and other location professionals working across film, television, commercial and print production. The Guild promotes the vital creative role of locations in storytelling while fostering connections between production, government agencies, businesses and communities worldwide.
As the City of Santa Monica’s official office for film permitting, production support and location marketing, Film Santa Monica works closely with LMGI members to showcase Santa Monica’s vibrant filming locations, extend tailored white-glove service to location professionals and offer access to extensive destination knowledge and established relationships throughout the community for seamless productions.

The 2026 LMGI Awards convened over 400 LMGI members, filmmakers, industry leaders, press and creatives to celebrate excellence in storytelling and the key role of locations in film production. As a Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 LMGI Awards, Film Santa Monica received prominent recognition throughout the event including red carpet presence, program placement and on-screen recognition. Acknowledgement extended to the awards’ promotional campaign, with a 60-second commercial featuring key filming locations, social media and press coverage, outdoor projections, digital and print advertising and exposure across key industry publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Variety and TheWrap.
