Start your Ocean Way Festival weekend early with dublab Open Air, two free evenings of live music, DJs, dancing, and sunset vibes in Santa Monica’s Reed Park.

On Thursday, September 24, spread out on the lawn for a live program of jazz, psychedelia, and improvisation. On Friday, September 25, the park becomes an open-air dance floor with dublab DJs moving your body to the breeze.

Come discover some of LA’s most exciting artists and make a night of it. Then keep the weekend going when the Ocean Way Festival hits Santa Monica Pier September 26 + 27.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

Cosmic Sounds with Laaraji & Liberate Elemental Forces · 5–9 PM

Bring a blanket and catch two of LA’s most adventurous live ensembles together on the lawn at sunset. New York–based artist Laraaji, the pioneering zither player, ambient visionary, and laughter meditation practitioner, creates music that seems to hover between earth and sky: cascading electric zither, luminous tones, improvisation, and ecstatic stillness. Across a singular career—including his landmark collaborations with Brian Eno —Laraaji has opened portals of joy and contemplation for generations of listeners. Liberate Elemental Forces, an East LA Indian classical and psychedelic collective, brings the immersive sound of sitar, tabla, and raga to Reed Park after performances at beloved LA spaces including Zebulon, the Masonic Lodge, Lodge Room, and Levitt Pavilion.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

Dancefloor Vibes with Spiñorita, GANAS, & ANTHNY GBRIEL · 5–9 PM

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, dublab brings Spiñorita, GANAS, and ANTHNY GBRIEL together for a free open-air dance party. From backyard parties and lowrider sounds to warehouse raves and today’s club underground, these dublab residents have helped carry LA dance-floor culture forward at home and onto stages around the world. Expect house, reggaetón, cumbia, hip-hop, R&B, bass, and body-moving grooves til the sun goes down.
