Local businesses come together in search of talent to add to their teams
SANTA MONICA, Calif., (July 5, 2022) – Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) has partnered with Santa Monica Place to host a job fair on Tuesday, July 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The fair will be held on the third floor Dining Deck.
Recognizing the employment gaps and the ample opportunities in the area, SMTT was compelled to bring the two together to provide guidance and connections for job seekers and prospective employees to local businesses. It is strongly suggested to bring multiple copies of an updated resume, as those who apply on-site will be entered to win prizes from Santa Monica businesses.
“The incredible tourism staff and hospitality you find in Santa Monica are two of the top reasons we’re able to call ourselves Southern California’s favorite beach city,” said Misti Kerns, President and CEO of Santa Monica Travel & Tourism. “Working this close to the coast is a dream for many and we’re happy to play a role in kick starting what we hope are long and successful careers in our beautiful city.”
The list of participants includes local tourism-serving businesses such as ETC Hotels (Shutters on the Beach, Hotel Casa del Mar and Bayside Hotel), Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows, Shore Hotel, Viceroy Santa Monica; restaurants like Seaside on the Pier, Perry’s Café and Beach Rentals as well as the Rustic Canyon Family of restaurants, which include Birdie G’s, Cassia, Esters Wine Shop & Bar, Huckleberry Bakery & Café, Milo & Olive and Rustic Canyon; and several retail shops from Santa Monica Place and the surrounding area as listed in full below.
