To keep everyone safe and secure until protocols relax a bit more, Santa Monica Playhouse presents BFF ENCORE the Audience Faves version of the BFF Binge Fringe Festival of FREE Theatre, the only FREE Fringe Festival in the nation. We’re looking forward to entertaining you in-person AND online for this November’s BFF 2021, and excited to present BFF ENCORE live-streaming June 27 through July 18, 2021.
What’s live-streaming today? GERONIMO: Life on the Reservation, the critically acclaimed and seldom told story of Geronimo’s life as a POW on the Fort Sill Indian Reservation. Starring veteran performer Rudy Ramos (Yellowstone), helmed by respected actor/director Steve Railsback (The X-Files), and written by award-winning novelist Janelle Meraz Hooper (As Brown As I Want: The Indianhead Diaries), GERONIMO unveils the resiliency, humor, and genius of the great Apache leader, bringing Geronimo’s final years to life on the stage in a dramatic recounting of a fascinating, largely forgotten chapter in American history. Selected as one of the ten “Best of the Best” at the Whitefire 2020 Solo Festival and one of LA Times’ 19 Cultural events to see.
“白人永远不会说出整个故事。他们控制着报纸和书籍上关于我们的一切报道。就连地图也偏向白人。地图上到处都是我们与白人士兵交战的地方。仔细看你会发现:如果士兵们赢了,那就是一场战斗。如果我们赢了,那就是大屠杀。”
