Sausage Fest will also debut FIG Restaurant’s newest house wine, the Georgina Jones Grüner Veltliner, named for the wife of Senator Jones, the founder of Santa Monica. As early residents of The Miramar, Georgina was known for her green thumb and is credited with planting the famed Moreton Bay Fig Tree at The Miramar’s front drive.
Created exclusively for FIG, this fuller bodied, dry white varietal is complemented by hints of green pepper and lime, a perfect pairing for wood-fired fare and an exotic alternative to Sauvignon Blanc – sold by the bottle and by the glass in FIG and at FIG Marketplace.
