Jewelry Challenges – a discussion with Metal Arts Society

Join us for an exchange of jewelrymaking ideas and techniques. The topic: ”How I dealt with the annual Metal Arts Society of Southern California (MASSC) Jewelry Challenge.” Speakers include Rachel Shimpock, Virginia Hyatt, Diane Weimer, and other MASSC members. Listen to jewelry makers talking about their craft and showing slides of their work. The Jewelry Challenge is an annual MASSC contest where participants purchase a mystery kit of materials and are challenged to create a wearable work of art. Kit contents include sheet metal, wire, and other materials that change year-to-year. Pieces range from pendants to rings, necklaces, bracelets and brooches.
