Aparna Sindhoor, her students and company members lead you through basic movements of Bharata Natyam, an Indian classical dance form with origins in the temples and courts of Southern India. The form has a strong component of rhythmic footwork, musicality, lyricism, and – Abhinaya or acting or expressive technique. This is event is open to all ages and abilities. No prior experience necessary; bring clothes to move in and comfortable shoes and socks.
