Esters Wine Shop & Bar is bringing back their Guest Chef Burger Series for 2018. We have SIMONE’s Jessica Largey, Wolvesmouth’s Craig Thornton, Hinoki & The Bird’s Brandon Kida, and last but not least, the acclaimed Nancy Silverton from Mozza Restaurant Group.
The Esters crew, our chef friends, and our guests had so much fun during the first series in Fall 2017 that we had to bring it back! If you have any visiting media in town on these nights, it could be something fun to bring them to.
Every Guest Chef Burger Night begins at 6:00 p.m., until burgers sell out. All burgers come with chips and are priced at $19, with Kathryn working with the chefs to curate wine or beer pairings. Esters is walk-in only, so reservations aren’t required. The 2018 line-up includes:
Tuesday, February 20 – Jessica Largey, behind The Arts District’s forthcoming SIMONE, cooks up a burger featuring a mushroom-green garlic jam and spicy, fermented radishes, alongside sweet potato chips. SIMONE’s Beverage Director Jordan Egan is also pouring wines to pair with Jessica’s burger.
Tuesday, March 27 – Chef Craig Thornton, known for his innovative Wolvesmouth dinners and art installations, adds his unique artistry to the guest chef burger.
Tuesday, April 10 – Hinoki & The Bird’s Brandon Kida brings a Japanese bar snack to life with his Okonomiyaki Burger. This double patty burger comes with sharp cheddar, pickled peppers, tomatoes and bonito mayo on a honey potato bun.
Tuesday, May 22 – Nancy Silverton, acclaimed restaurateur, chef and cookbook author behind Mozza Restaurant Group, serves up a decadent burger using peak-season ingredients.
