An Afternoon with Author Meg Medina

Santa Monica Public Library and Children’s Book World are honored to present “An Afternoon with author Meg Medina,” the Library of Congress’ current National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature. Ms. Medina will introduce her new platform, ¡Cuéntame! Let’s Talk Books, a Spanish-English bilingual effort that encourages young readers to connect with each other while talking about books. She will also discuss her books, which range from the picture books Abuela & Me and Evelyn Del Rey is Moving Away, to middle grade chapter books like the Merci Suárez series, as well as young adult novels such as Burn Baby Burn and Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass. A book sale and signing, provided by Children’s Book World, follows the author’s presentation.
