Considerados os fundadores do skate moderno, os Z-Boys eram, em sua maioria, um grupo de surfistas adolescentes do lado errado das pistas no sul de Santa Monica e Venice nos anos 70. Formalmente a Zephyr Competition Team, mas mais conhecidos como os Z-Boys, eles fundaram uma equipe de skate com um estilo de surfe agressivo e atitude rebelde que definiu a est\u00e9tica e o esp\u00edrito da cultura jovem moderna.<\/p>\n
