The magic is back! A Los Angeles Family Holiday Tradition since 1973, Westside Ballet proudly presents eight performances at BroadStage in Santa Monica beginning Thanksgiving Weekend. Journey with Clara to an enchanted world filled with whirling snowflakes, Spanish chocolate, and a dashing prince. The traditional full-length ballet in two acts is performed to Tchaikovsky’s majestic score, complete with a Victorian-style party scene and the dazzling Sugar Plum Fairy. Westside’s artistic interpretation preserves the spirit of choreographer George Balanchine, as carried on by Westside’s co-founder Yvonne Mounsey, who developed Center Spanish during the peak of her career as principal dancer with New York City Ballet. Performances always sell out, so please buy your tickets early to the longest running NUTCRACKER production in SoCal. Providing the perfect opportunity to introduce children to classical music and dance, the whole family will be mesmerized by the extravagant performance including world-class professional dancers and pre-professional and student performers.
