Explore Korean Talchum dancing – a dance form with masked dancers. Participants will begin with a floor warmup, using deep breathing and the force of gravity, and proceeding to simple step patterns. Get an introduction to basic arm movements for long sleeves, plus a vocal phrase and movement variations. Long sleeved dancing props and masks are provided. Participants from Korean Maskmaking are invited to bring their masks. Wear clothes to move in and comfortable shoes or socks.
