Shwartz’s compositions are often strange and humorous representations of the fragility of existence. Once in a Blue Moon features both somber, contemplative landscapes and vibrant, whimsical collages populated by a cast of figures that blur the line between human, animal, and machine. Shwartz’s work is equal parts introspective and irreverent, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences of instability and connection in the modern world.
