Join the Santa Monica Symphony for the final concert of their 71st season as they celebrate the enigmatic works of Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, and Mussorgsky. Beginning with the exciting and uplifting Russian Easter Overture, the evening will venture into the rich soundscape of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto no. 2 in C minor performed by acclaimed pianist, Robert Thies. Closing the concert will be the timeless masterpiece by Mussorgsky as orchestrated by Ravel, Pictures at an Exhibition.
A pre-concert lecture will be held at 6PM in the hall before the concert starts. Seats are free and are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
