Santa MoniCARES is an event sponsor for the Santa Monica Queer Prom ‘Alice in Wonderland’ event at Water Garden on June 18
SANTA MONICA, Calif., (June 7, 2022) – Santa Monica Travel & Tourism’s nonprofit foundation Santa MoniCARES is sponsoring the Santa Monica Queer Prom to assist with the organization of this year’s themed event “Alice in Wonderland” at Water Garden in Santa Monica on Saturday, June 18 from 7-9 p.m.
Santa Monica Queer Prom is a celebration for LGBTQIA+ and allies age 16-20. Queer Prom is intended to be a safe space where guests can be themselves and dance the night away in a magic-filled event that will feature a live DJ, Prom royalty ceremony and Prom photographer. Guests will be asked to show their vaccination status or a current negative COVID test upon arrival. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased at Santa Monica Queer Prom 2022.
“Santa Monica Travel & Tourism and Santa MoniCARES are proud to be part of Santa Monica Queer Prom themed event again this year,” said Evan Edwards, Chief Operating Officer at Santa Monica Travel & Tourism. “The is a very special event that offers attendees a night of carefree fun with likeminded people who create a safe environment for a night to remember.”
Santa Monica Queer Prom is an outdoor event on the great lawn area located at the beautiful Water Garden at 1620 26th Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Since 2019, Water Garden has shown their continued support by increasing visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community through a vibrant rainbow light display “Pride Lights” that can be viewed anytime after sunset now through June 24.
Santa MoniCARES joined other organizations to help make Santa Monica Queer Prom possible including the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) from Santa Monica High School, Church in Ocean Park, Water Garden, City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica Travel & Tourism.
